Kraft and White

I managed to use 3 different Papertrey Ink stamp sets on this simple little card. =)
The branch and ornaments are Take a Bough, the trees are Merry and Bright and the sentiment is Signature Christmas. All of them were stamped in Palette Fresh Snow ink on kraft cardstock. Finished off with gold satin ribbon.

I'm a Winner

Being the lucky girl that I am, I ended up winning Papertrey's 'I want it All package' for participating in their World Card Making Day challenges! I have been having soooooooooo much fun playing with all of my new stamps! It was a nice prize to win because I only had 2 Christmas stamp sets!

I stamped this background paper using PTI's new Giga Guidlines. This set is one of my new favorites! The tree was stamped with 2009 Holiday Tags and the sentiment was stamped with Holiday Tree. I love PTI's twill ribbon because it makes the most perfect little bows. The colors are Raspberry Fizz and New Leaf; a fun alternative to red and green! I used circle and scallop circle nestabilities to cut my image/mat, and added green stickles to my Christmas tree.

Henry's Memorial

This week has been a very sad one as former DT member Sarah Anderson’s 3 year old son Henry passed away. Little Henry was unable to overcome a virus that made him ill last week.

Lorie Ames has organized a way to donate for a memorial for Henry. Henry loved his local zoo and visited it almost every day in the summer. As a memorial, trees will be planted there in his honor. Melissa at Pink Cat Studio has created a digital stamp to help raise funds for a tree for Henry. All proceeds from the sale of the digi stamp, minus Paypal costs, will go towards the tree.

If you would like to donate towards the tree, please visit PCS to purchase the digi stamp:
http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/Digital/Di ... Monkey.htm

Another way to donate to the memorial is to print out this form and mail in your donation directly: http://www.ci.oshkosh.wi.us/Parks/PDF/M ... mphlet.pdf

You can send in any amount using the form. The funds will be pooled.

Please write on the form that the donation is for Sarah Anderson’s son, Henry. Once all of the money is collected, a tree and location will be selected. If you have questions about the form please contact Lorie Ames. Lorie will be in contact with Sarah along this memorial journey to ensure that her wishes are followed.

To contact Lorie, please visit her blog at http://www.live-love-laugh-create.blogspot.com/

If you don’t know Sarah and would like to learn more about her, please visit her blog: http://scrampinmama.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your help to raise money for a tree for Henry.

Sleigh Ride

What do you think of orange for a Christmas color? =) On this card I used i {heart} papers exclusive Petal Press line. This set is called Sleigh Ride, and it is so much fun to play with! I cut my image and Colorful Christmas patterned paper with Labels One Nestabilities. I colored the sleaigh with Copics and used spica glitter pens for the ornaments. I punched two holes for my ribbon and tied it in a knot under the image. The ribbon , cardstock and sentiment are Papertrey Ink.

Flowers and snowflakes

How is everyone doing on their Christmas cards???? I'm moving right along. For this card I actually used a FLOWER stamp set! It's called Make a Bloom, and as you can see, it makes some adorable snowflakes too! It is a really fun set to play with. I stamped with white ink on the kraft cardstock, and used versamark on the blue cardstock, and tied it all up with some white twill.

Let's Hear it for the Boys

Ok, my last masculine one of the bunch. I used MFT's Let's Hear it for the Boys. Colored with Copics. The patterened paper is Basic Grey- Archaic.

Wise Owl

Another attempt at masculine. I used Papertrey Ink's Wise Owl, and Papertrey Dark Chocolate and Vintage Cream cardstock.
The dot paper is Basic Grey. The owls' mat was cut with Spellbinders Labels 3, and the traced with a spica glitter pen.

Made of Snow

So here is a happy bright, cheery card after some of those drab masculine cards. lol The colors I used are Pure Poppy and Hibiscus Burst. I stamped the cardstock with ornaments from Take a Bough. The Snowman is from PTI's Made of Snow.

Grunge?

I was going for the worn grungy look with this one. I used Papertrey Dark Chocolate and Vintage Cream. The patterned paper is from Papertrey's Chocolate Remix pack. Instead of leaving it cream colored, I colored it blue and green with my Copics. The sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Basics. I used a paper distresser on the edges.

We are having a Halloween party at our house for the kids tonight. We'll have at least 16 kids! Pray for me. =D

Take a Bough

Another "masculine" card. The stamp is from PTI's Take a Bough. The cardstock and is also PTI. (Dark Chocolate, New Leaf, Vintage Cream.) I used a cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the background.

Beerafella

My Aunt ordered 12 cards from me and she wanted 6 of them to be masculine. THAT was hard for me! Here is one of them.
The image is from StampingBella and the paper is Papertrey Ink.

Another Gift set

This is the same thing I posted yesterday, but in different colors, and using Owl and Doodles paper.

(Sorry for the awful pictures.)

Gift set

I made this fun gift set for a friend for her birthday. I cut the mini purse with my cricut and stamped dots with Versamark. I used magnet to keep it closed. Inside was a pair of earrings that I made. I poked holes in the cardstock for the earrings and added a piece of ribbon to the top so they'd be easy to remove from the purse. I added a button and a ribbon handle to finish it off.

The box for the cards was made using Lauren's Keeping Tabs On It template. The gorgeous papers from both the box and the cards inside are from the GCD Cosette collection. I also used a magnet on the box to keep it closed. I had a lot of fun making these and my friend LOVED them.

One in a Buzzillion!

I made this card for my mom because she's so awesomely fabulous to me. =D
I used PTI Summer Sunrise cardstock, and paper from Black and White basics. The adorable stamps are from Hambo Stamps. Colored with Copics of course. I'm really having fun trying to figure these Copics out. I love them!!!

I made 2 cards for today's challenge, because who doesn't love to make Birthday cards!!!???

This adorable cupcake is from Inkadinkadoo is called, what else, Birthday Cupcake! lol I colored it with copics and covered the sprinkles with Stickles. I cut the image and mats with my circle nestabilities. I dressed up the sentiment with Victorian Spellbinders Pierceabilities. This was my first time using Pierceabilties. Not only do they give you a cool piercing template but the cut gorgeous edges/borders. I tied a sweet little bow around my card using white glimmer ribbon. I have this ribbon in several colors and I just love it! The patterned paper is called Bowl of Curds by Piggy Tales.

I made another card using the Birthday Cupcake stamp set, and again using my circle nestabilities. I used Glossy Accents on the cherries to give them shine and dimension. I cut the white edge with the other die from the Victorian Spellbinders Pierceabilities, and added some rhinestones. This fun patterned paper is called Make a Wish. Such great colors for a Birthday card!

So do you want to play along!!??

Before you begin, PLEASE take a few minutes to review the challenge guidelines! You’ll want to follow these rules to maximize your points and qualify for the opportunity to WIN the prize for today’s challenge and the Grand Prize, all announced on the last day of our festivities!

To qualify for the prize of the day, all you have to do is upload your challenge card/project to Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) and/or Paper Craft Planet (PCP) with the appropriate tag so we can find it. Chickadee

More pink!!! I used PTI's Everyday Button Bits for this card, but instead of using a button, I just cut a small circle with my nesties. I stamped the wing and cut it out. The sentiment is actually from 2 different sets. I cut "chickadee" off of another sentiment so that I can use it for more than one occasion. The GORGEOUS paper is Basic Gray Sultry. I finished it with a big sheer bow.

Wow 3 days in a row with no Christmas cards! lol I love the pinkness of this card! The stamps are from MFT, and the paper is PTI. I colored her with my copics and added lustre gems and sheer ribbon.

Topiary Bella

I am still loving the labels 6 nesties for my bellas! A perfect match! Love it when that happens. =D I colored her with copics, and traced around a bigger nestie with a white pen to get the outline around the image. The topiary was stamped and colored again and popped up since it wouldn't all fit with I cut the image. I used a ribbon tag nestie to cut my sentiment out. (These are a must have!) The pretty pink paper is Bloom and Grow by My Minds Eye.

Packitup

My Grandma just moved into a new house so I whipped her up this cute little "new house card."
I colored Packitupabella with my copics and cut her out with rectangle nestabilities. I traced the image while it was still in the nestie. I've been doing this a lot lately because it's easier than embossing. (I broke a B plate and a C plate in one week trying to get the perfect emboss on my image!) I used two toned satin ribbon and PTI buttons over the image. The yummy glittered paper is " Mimosa -Margarita" by SEI. mmmm I love margaritas. lol

IHP Birthday Bash Challenge #1

I hope everyone is having fun playing along with i {heart} papers Birthday Bash challenges! (scroll down for details.)
This is the card I made for challenge #1. The challenge was to use the colors celery, light blue, rose and black (IHP's Logo colors!) Since I'm a PTI girl when it comes to colors, I used Spring Moss, Spring Rain, Hibiscus Burst, and True Black. The yummy patterned paper is Basic Grey Urban Prairie. I stamped the flower pot/stem with Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits, and added Sweet Pea Flower Soft to make the topiary. Flower Soft is so much fun. If you don't have any yet, you NEED some! I cut the image and sentiment with Spellbinders, and traced the inside of the dies with a Spica Glitter Pen. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with for this challenge!

Happy Birthday i {heart} papers!

I made this card for Kate of i {heart} papers. She opened her fabulous store a year ago this month, and I have been lucky enough to be part of her design team from the start! Kate is SUCH a nice person. =)

I colored partygirlabella with Copics and cut her out with Labels 1 Nestabilities. The papers are both from My Minds Eye. (Bloom & Grow, and Ooh La La. All double sided sheets!) The sentiment was cut with a ribbon tag nestie, and traced around before I removed it from the die.
The "i heart papers" was done with my JustRite stamper.

I also used the sparkly clear embossing powder on the balloons and forgot AGAIN to take a picture of it!

IHP Birthday Bash, and A Special Gift

Get ready for the i {heart} papers Birthday Bash! That’s right, IHP is turning 1 year old this month, and a whopper of a party is planned! There's also a special gift planned to help others celebrate more birthdays. You’ll read more about that at the end of this post.

First, let’s talk about the party! There will be prizes galore (free stuff – you like free stuff, don’t you?), and a Grand Prize winner will be chosen at the end to be the IHP Guest Designer for the month of November!

There will be six birthday party themed challenges, one posted each day starting on Monday, October 19th. Each challenge will be hosted (and posted) by one of the IHP Design Team members. It will also be posted on the IHP Blog and on the store site HERE. Some special invited guests will be posting throughout the week, too! Each challenge will have its own prize.

To qualify for the prize of the day, all you have to do is post your challenge card/project to Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) and/or Paper Craft Planet (PCP) with the appropriate tag so we can find it. The tag (and the prize) for that day’s challenge will be posted on that day. You will have the full week (until October 25th) to post your work, and you can enter as many challenges as you like, but you can’t combine challenges in one project. The daily challenge winners will be selected at random at the end of the week.

To qualify for the Grand Prize of being IHP Guest Designer for the month of November, here’s how it will work: Every challenge card/project you enter will give you points (see the list below), and the one with the most points accumulated for the week will be the Grand Prize winner. So the more challenges you enter, the more points you earn — and the better your chances of winning the Grand Prize (and the bigger the value of your Guest Designer box will be)!

All winners, including the Grand Prize winner, will be announced at the Birthday Bash on October 26th.

So get ready to PARTY!!!! You won’t want to miss the fun!

Birthday Bash Points

For each project:

5 points for each challenge card/project you make, upload and tag to SCS

5 points for each challenge card/project you make, upload and tag to PCP

2 points for uploading to your blog and linking at least one IHP item used to the IHP website

One time points:

10 points if you participate in all 6 IHP Birthday Bash challenges

*When you sign up, or if you are already signed up, leave us a comment on the IHP blog during Birthday Bash week so your points can be credited.

A Special Gift

Because i {heart} papers loves birthdays so much, they’ve decided to contribute 10% of sales, beginning on October 19th and through the end of October, to Hope Lodge New York City. Hope Lodge, run by the American Cancer Society, “The Official Sponsor of Birthdays,” offers free, temporary housing for cancer patients and their families who are undergoing treatment. The nurturing, comfortable environment at Hope Lodge allows patients to focus on what is most important - fighting cancer. What better way to celebrate a birthday than to help those who are helping more birthdays happen!

Pumpkin Bear

I had to whip up one more Halloween card for one of my boys' new friends. I had already colored and cut the bear so it only took 2 minutes to make this. The picture is bad because it was evening when I took it, before Connor whisked the card away. lol
The bear is a Dustin Pike digi stamp, and the paper is from Boo to You by My Minds Eye. So in love with that paper!

Glideabella

By the time Christmas gets here I should have more than enough Christmas cards. lol

I colored Glideabella with copics and cut her out with Nestibilities. The adorable pink paper is more from Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly. I, of course, used a spica glitter pen on her skates to shine em up a little. =D I tied a little white bow to finish it off.

Snowbunny

I'm really loving Kraft lately. =D I colored this adorable Bella with my copics and then cut out the coat and boots and popped them up to add dimension. I added white fun flock to the fuzzy areas. I used a white sheer ribbon to tie a big bow, and added some lustre gems above it. I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment with Palette Fresh Snow ink. The gorgeous blue paper is from the Colorful Christmas collection.
